BIS CH Grangabull's Harlee

What a joy she is!  Personality galore and truly full of Bull!  Bred by Terry Grainger, we had the opportunity to get Harlee at 18 months of age.  She had already completed her Championship and barely knew a thing about the show ring.  Terry wanted her to go to a home where she would be, first and foremost, a family pet.  Jerry Spires put us in touch with Terry, and we have been having a blast ever since.

We have had so many tell us how it thrills them to see ordinary people competing so effectively at the Group and Best in Show level.  While we have had Bulldogs for 12 years and bred one Champion a number of years ago, we had not shown since 1992 and knew very few in the industry, let alone AKC Judges.  At a time when there is so much talk about “the other end of the lead”, it is so satisfying to know that Miss Harlee has done it all with “HER end of the lead”.

Now retired, Miss Harlee enjoys the easy life.  A game of soccer, a little tag or a mean game of tug-o-war is a typical day.  Our children have taken her to “Show and Tell” where she is quite popular with faculty, as well.

Miss Harlee burst onto the show scene in February of 1999 at the Atlanta Specialty weekend winning two 5-point majors, a Best in Sweeps, a Best of Breed and a Group 4.  Though she is shown sparingly due to baseball, basketball and soccer seasons, Harlee’s credits total 36 Best of Breeds, 19 group placements (including four Group 1’s) and one most coveted Best in Show.  In 5 weeks of showing in 2001, Harlee climbed to the #1 All-Breed Bitch position in the country and held it until her retirement.  Throughout her career, she was in the Group ribbons better than 50% of the time.

As a producer, she has three Champions to her credit.
